Throughout your childhood, you were taught to live within the guidelines governed by your parents, teachers, and others. As you matured, you may have become stuck in the monotony of routine and caught in the expectations of others where. . .
. . . you lost the freedom to be you,
. . . you pushed your dreams aside, and
. . . true happiness felt unreachable.
You settled for the life you'd been dealt, even when doing so left you feeling alone and empty.
If you ever dared wonder. . .
Where do I fit?
Why am I so different?
Is this what I came here to do?
It was only in rare, private moments where no one who mattered could hear. You sensed that once that shell was shattered, there was no going back.
It's not your fault. In order to survive unavoidable life circumstances such as illness, grief, trauma, or tragedy, you did what had to be done.
Now it's time to push forward and step into the fullness of all your life can be. It's time to listen to your heart and take those first steps toward its calling.
Hatch - A Change Your Life Guide (my most recent release) teaches you how to:
- Remember the calling of your heart,
- Hear your body speak,
- Find the future in your past,
- Follow the intuitive nudges your guides continually airlift to your soul,
- and Hatch a life worth loving
How do I know this? Because I lived it.
And yes, just like when we are first born, your early days of stepping forward could be likened to that of a freshly hatched bird. We don't emerge all perfectly fluffed and cute. Usually, it's more of an unsteady, gangly gait. It's okay if your initial steps are overly cautious, a bit precarious, or cause you to take a few steps backward before you move ahead. But break free you must if you hope to step into the life your heart deeply desires.
Here are three tips you can use to do the same.
1. Know what your heart is begging you to do. If you have repressed that calling for many years, it may be hard to hear its voice. What you hear may be clouded or garbled. If you feel unsure, move to step two.
2. Listen to your body. Your physical being knows more about you than you think. It speaks to you through its aches, pains, injuries, and illnesses. It sends you emotional feelings and sensations to help you see through the cloudy blur your mind has dulled.
3. Take one step forward, whatever that might be. Poke a hole in that shell, dare yourself to peek at what your new options might be. A friend of mine once dreamed of moving from the snow belt to the warmth of Arizona. Despite the easy access to the Internet from the safety of her home computer, she dared not even explore what her options might be. I challenged her to at least take that first step. Within six weeks, she had moved there. The dream she once felt impossible had become true.
What first step might you take?
